Peddler's Produce II is less a loot check than a test of whether you can stop yourself from selling everything that drops. In POE 3.29, the Allflame version asks for five vendor-recipe results in each of three categories: a Unique Item, a Scarab, and a Tier 16 Map. That makes your stash habits nearly as important as your DPS, especially once you start comparing recipe materials against your POE currency budget. The challenge only advances when the vendor creates the required result; placing random loot into a purchase window won't count.

Read the challenge as three separate jobs

These objectives have very different costs, so treating them as one grind leads to poor decisions. Duplicate Unique Items are usually the easiest materials to isolate. Scarabs demand more judgment because they may support your Atlas strategy. Tier 16 Maps are the most sensitive choice, since they provide endgame access, experience, boss opportunities, and map sustain. From what I've seen, the best order is Unique Item first, Scarab second, and Tier 16 Map last.

The recipe window is your safety check

Don't rely on memory or a community shorthand for the input group. Place the items into the vendor window and inspect the displayed output before accepting the exchange. A valid attempt should visibly produce the category tracked by the challenge panel. This matters most for Scarabs and maps, where a group that looks reasonable may create a different result or fail to provide the item you need.

Unique Items: turn duplicates into progress

Make a dedicated stash section before starting attempts. Keep one copy of anything your build may need, then separate duplicates with poor rolls or no clear future use. Avoid throwing corrupted items, sought-after pieces, or gear with valuable modifiers into the same pile. Perform one exchange at a time and record the counter after each result. It sounds fussy, but it prevents the classic mistake of assuming five vendor sales equal five challenge completions.

Scarab storage needs a plan

Scarab recipes are where impatient players usually burn resources. Split your stash into three groups: Scarabs reserved for your current mapping plan, Scarabs worth keeping for later, and genuine excess. Don't form a group merely because the item count looks right. Test the intended combination, confirm the output, and only then repeat it with another compatible group. At least in my experience, waiting until several spare groups exist feels slower but costs less than interrupting a mapping strategy built around specific Scarabs.

Save the map requirement for last

Tier 16 Maps should come after your Atlas routine can replace what you spend. First remove maps needed for completion, favorite layouts, boss access, or a rotation you actually enjoy running. Then consider duplicates that won't hurt sustain. Use the vendor preview as a hard stop: if the result isn't a Tier 16 Map, cancel the exchange. Peddler's Produce II counts five actual Tier 16 Map results, not five attempts and not five ordinary map sales.

A small routine that prevents expensive mistakes

Keep challenge materials in separate stash tabs or clearly marked spaces.
Write down progress as Unique, Scarab, and Tier 16 Map counts.
Check the challenge panel after every accepted recipe.
Finish the quality-based Peddler's Produce I recipes during normal progression when possible.
Never spend Atlas maps or Scarabs that are assigned to your current farming loadout.

My POE 3.29 completion route

Start with Peddler's Produce I while leveling, then collect duplicate Unique Items during early mapping. Build a Scarab reserve once your preferred Atlas strategy is running, and postpone the map exchanges until your pool feels comfortable. The challenge rewards patience more than speed: five clean outputs in each category are better than rushing one objective and weakening your whole endgame setup. If you still need materials after sorting your stash, compare the cost of replacing them with the price of Path of exile currency for sale before making the trade, then accept only the recipes that leave your build and Atlas plan intact.
